Youth Ministry: High School (9th ~ 12th)

Pastor Joshua Chun

Mission Statement:
To raise and empower disciples of Christ to be the salt and light of the world

Core Values

1.Encounter God (To Know Him)

Our primary objective in gathering as a church is to encounter the living God and

grow in a deeper relationship with Him.

2.Church that is Family (Authentic Fellowship)

While the call to follow Christ must be a personal one, the Bible also calls us to walk

in community with other believers. We desire to be a church that is a family of

authentic fellows

3.Empowering the Saints (Raise up Disciples)

No church is the end in and of itself. Every believer is called to the work of furthering

the Gospel beyond the church walls. Our church desires to be a training ground for the

  launching of further missions.

4.Reach the World (Be the Salt and Light)

A church is only as healthy as it actively engages the lost. If people do not come to

church, we want to take the Church to people and be the living aroma of Christ.

A Word from the Pastor:

I am so thankful for the privilege to serve God in Temecula, the city that I’ve come to

love. God first found me at the age of 16, in a little campsite in Corona, CA. I was

desperate for some type of touch from the Lord, as life as I knew it was spiraling out of

control from depression. Though others thought of me as the model Christian, deep

inside, I questioned my salvation and wondered if I truly knew God. I always felt like

I was straddling the middle ground. It felt like I was engaged –not single, but not married

either. It was a miserable way to live. I couldn’t enjoy God because I didn’t really love

Him, but I couldn’t enjoy the world either because I was too scared to sin out of guilt and

fear. Thank God that in His perfect timing, the Word of God pierced my heart, and

I finally understood the Gospel of Grace. “For by grace you have been saved through

faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no

one may boast” (Eph 2:8-9). After hearing the truth and freedom of the Gospel, I gave

my life to Christ that day on July 14, 2009, and have never looked back since. Knowing

Jesus, there is no greater thing!

It has been over two years now since I have been serving at TVKPC as a youth pastor,

and I can say that it has truly been a blessed road. Nothing brings me more joy than

seeing people’s lives being changed by God, and my prayer is that every person who

steps foot in out church will experience His radical love. I trust that God has greater plans

for this city and this church! May His name be forever praised!

           In Christ,
